C5 resin (C5 hydrocarbon/petroleum resin) is a low-molecular-weight, thermoplastic aliphatic resin produced from  fractions in petroleum cracking. It acts primarily as a high-performance tackifier in adhesives, rubber compounding, and road marking paints, offering excellent compatibility with base rubbers (NR, SIS, SEBS, EVA) and superior UV/thermal stability
